Nothing Phone (1): a new smartphone concept

Although not yet released on the market, the new smartphone Nothing Phone has already managed to attract the attention of industry fanatics. Just these days Nothing, a London-based company, has revealed some peculiar features related to what is the first smartphone produced by the company. Already in recent months, the waiting list for the smartphone had reached the incredible number of 200 thousand pre-orders, but now Phone (1) is ready to win the most awaited product of the moment. To attract the attention of the public the characteristic transparent shell made of 100% recycled aluminum, capable of enclosing more than 400 components also made of recycled and sustainable materials. Not to mention the technical specs… Indeed why not talk about it, let’s see them better together so you can really understand the potential of the new Nothing Phone (1).

Technical characteristics of the product

The product is available for pre-order on Amazon, with release date scheduled for August 1. The smartphone comes in three different versions: 8 GB of RAM associated with a 128/256 GB memory or in the 12GB version with 256GB of internal memory. Also the price obviously varies according to the version with the most basic offered at 499,99€, the intermediate one at 529,99€ and to conclude with the top of the range sold at 579,99€. In any case, the power is guaranteed by the Qualcomm SnapdragonTM 778 G processor. At the graphic level it is equipped with a flexible 6.55-inch OLED display that mounts Gorilla Glass 5, also for the rear. The material used makes it an elegant looking device, while ensuring excellent durability despite the weight of just 193.5 grams.

What about camera and battery?

The new Nothing home device features a 16 megapixel front camera and two rear photo sensors, both with a resolution of 50 megapixels. The two rear cameras that the smartphone has are a Sony IMX766 with a l/1.88 aperture and the other an ultrawide Samsung JN1, capable of recording clips in 4K at 60 fps. The dual sim device has a 4,500 mAh battery that reaches full charge in about an hour. The operating system is based on Android and is launched under the name Nothing OS, a system that in collaboration with the Glyph interface offers an innovative way of communicating that helps to minimize the time spent on the screen.
